When sitting in an office type chair, your feet should rest firmly on the floor, and your knees should perform a 90° bend. This helps your blood to circulate well, even when you are sitting still.

Lifting heavy objects must be done correctly in order to avoid injury. Never bend over from the waist and grasp the object you wish to lift.

Your hands should rest easily on the steering wheel. Move the seat back or forwards depending on your needs and feel free to add an extra cushion underneath you or behind your back.

When you Brush your teeth you should have in the straight position as pictured and your hands will be straight.

When sitting in a chair, try to keep your hips and knees at the same level. Place your feet flat on the floor. Keep a comfortable posture.

The movement should be from the knees rather than the backbone. Bending forwards and down to lift the baby from the bed or from a lower level puts excessive strain on the ligaments and muscles of the back and abdomen.

The baby should be placed on a height so that the clothese can be changed while the mother is standing up. Stooping to change the clothes is a bad posture and can can cause severe lower backache.

It is important to make conscious efforts to stand, sit and sleep in the correct posture. Proper posture will help you to work more efficiently without getting tired or giving strain to your back or body.
